Opisthocentrus Kner [R.] 1868:29 Masc. Centronotus quinquemaculatus Kner 1868. Type by monotypy. Genus described as "Centronotus quinquemaculatus nov. sp. an et nov. gen.? Opisthocentrus quinquemac. nov. gen. et sp."
