Aylopon Rafinesque 1810 is an unneeded replacement, Anthias not preoccupied by Anthia Weber 1801 in Coleoptera. Anthias Bonaparte 1839:166 [ref. 4978] is also involved. Subfamily name changed to Anthiadinae based on Anthiad- by Poey 1861 (R.
