Aeglefinus Malm [A. W.] 1877:106, 481 Masc. Aeglefinus linnei Malm 1877 (= Gadus aeglefinus Linnaeus 1758). Type by monotypy. Malm's A. linnei is an unneeded replacement for G. aeglefinus Linnaeus. •Synonym of Melanogrammus Gill 1862 -- (Svetovidov 1973:306 [ref. 7169]). Current status: Synonym of Melanogrammus Gill 1862. Gadidae.
