Also proposed a species name Paradoxichthys garibaldianus for his specimen if it was found to differ from rissoanus, but no distinguishing features were given, and garibaldianus is unavailable. •Objective synonym of Polyacanthonotus Bleeker 1874 -- (McDowell 1973:158 [ref. 24539], Wheeler 1973:257 [ref. 7190]).
