Type by monotypy. •Synonym of Bathophilus Giglioli 1882, but a valid subgenus Notopodichthys as described -- (Morrow in Morrow & Gibbs 1964:465 [ref. 6962], Castellanos-Galindo et al. 2006:259 [ref. 28944]). Current status: Synonym of Bathophilus Giglioli 1882. Stomiidae: Melanostomiinae. |
