Neonesthes Regan [C. T.] & Trewavas [E.] 1929:30 Masc. Neonesthes macrolychnus Regan & Trewavas 1929. Type by monotypy; second species doubtfully included as, "N. macrolychnus may prove to be a synonym of Astronesthes capensis."
