Genus of type species should have been Epalzeorhynchos. The type species originally as Epalzeorhynchus [sic] mutabilis Lin 1933, is misidentified according to Zhang 2000:266 [ref. 25071] who established the type species as Parasinilabeo assimilis Wu & Yao 1977 based on Art. 70.3.2.
