Type by monotypy. •Synonym of Zebrias Jordan & Snyder 1900 -- (Li & Wang 1995:311 [ref. 16193]). •Valid as Pseudaesopia Chabanaud 1934 -- (Ochiai in Masuda et al. 1984:355 [ref. 6441], Lindberg & Fedorov 1993:195 [ref. 21500], Hoese & Bray 2006:1849 [ref. 29000], Desoutter-Meniger & Chapleau 2022:400 [ref. 40245]).
