Type by original designation (also monotypic). •Synonym of Etheostoma Rafinesque 1819, but a valid subgenus Fuscatelum as described -- (Page 1983:109 [ref. 22189], Bailey & Etnier 1988:26 [ref. 6873], Bart & Taylor 1999:23 [ref. 24150]). •A valid clade name -- (Near et al. 2011:594 [ref. 31507]). Current status: Synonym of Etheostoma Rafinesque 1819. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. |
