Type given as above by Jordan 1917:95 [ref. 2407], but Blainville listed 3 species, all of which are apparently name only and unavailable. Subsequent addition of species not researched. Not Leiobatus as treated by Rafinesque. •Synonym of Urolophus Müller & Henle 1837 -- (Cappetta 1987:165 [ref. 6348]). •Synonym of Urobatis Garman 1913.
