Prosoarchus (subgenus of Glossanodon) Cohen [D. M.] 1958:155 Masc. Glossanodon (Prosoarchus) pygmaeus Cohen 1958. Type by original designation (also monotypic). •Synonym of Glossanodon Guichenot 1867, but a valid subgenus Prosoarchus as described -- (Kobyliansky 1998:725 [ref. 24170], Endo & Nashida 2010:119 [ref. 30811], Endo & Nashida 2012:17 [ref. 32024]). Current status: Synonym of Glossanodon Guichenot 1867. Argentinidae.
