Presumed preoccupied by Heterotilapia Regan 1904 in Zoological Record 1904, but this name is a misspelling of Herotilapia Pellegrin 1904. Not to be replaced by Reganotilapia Whitley 1950. •Valid as Heterotilapia Regan 1920 -- (Dunz & Schliewen 2013:78 [ref. 32672]). Current status: Valid as Heterotilapia Regan 1920.
