Apparently not available from Hadžišče; two included species, neither designated as type (but article not fully translated). •Synonym of Salmo Linnaeus 1758, but a valid subgenus Acantholingua -- (Behnke 1968:11 [ref. 250], Kendall & Behnke 1984:144 [ref. 13638]). •Valid as Acantholingua Hadžišče 1960 -- (Stearley & Smith 1993:20 [ref. 26683]). •Synonym of Salmo Linnaeus 1758 -- (Phillips et al. 2000:546 [ref. 24471], Snoj et al. 2002:399 [ref. 26461]). Current status: Synonym of Salmo Linnaeus 1758. Salmonidae: Salmoninae.
