Plus non-type material. •Valid as Amblyrhynchichthys micracanthus Ng & Kottelat 2004 -- (Kottelat 2013:73 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:135 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Amblyrhynchichthys micracanthus Ng & Kottelat 2004. Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Amblyrhynchichthys truncatus (Bleeker 1850). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: southern Vietnam, southern Laos, Cambosia, southern hailand, Malaya (Malaysia), eastern-central Sumatra (Indonesia) and western Borneo (Indonesia, Malaysia). IUCN (2020): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater.
