Holotype: MEPN 14780 (ex ROM 93927). Paratypes: ANSP, AUM, ROM. •Valid as Andeancistrus eschwartzae Lujan, Meza-Vargas & Barriga Salazar 2015 -- (Provenzano & Villa-Navarro 2017:528 [ref. 35473], Provenzano et al. 2017:264 [ref. 35613]). Current status: Valid as Andeancistrus eschwartzae Lujan, Meza-Vargas & Barriga Salazar 2015. Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: Amundalo River [Río Amundal], Morona Santiago, Ecuador. Habitat: freshwater.
