Holotype: ZFMK [Museum A. Koenig] uncat. Paratypes: ZSM 40738 [ex MHNG 2232.073] (1), 407389 [ex MHNG 2173.030](1). Type catalog: Herder et al. 2010:115 [ref. 31087], Neumann 2011:243 [ref. 31652]. •Valid as Aphyocharacidium bolivianum Géry 1973 -- (Malabarba in Reis et al. 2003:106 [ref. 27061], Mirande 2010:530 [ref. 31006], Sarmiento et al. 2014:183 [ref. 35004]). Current status: Valid as Aphyocharacidium bolivianum Géry 1973. Characidae: Aphyocharacinae. Distribution: South America: Mamoré River drainage, western Amazon basin, Bolivia. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Aphyocharacidium melandetum (Eigenmann 1912). Characidae: Aphyocharacinae. Distribution: South America: Essequibo River basin (Guyana and ?French Guiana). Habitat: freshwater.
