Paratypes: IHASW 0605144-156, -159 (14), 0605160-177 (18), 87024370 (1), 87024520 (1), 87024659-60 (2), 87024263 (1). •Valid as Bibarba bibarba Chen & Chen 2007 -- (Kottelat 2012:22 [ref. 32367], Wu et al. 2015:138 [ref. 33638], Zhang et al. 2016:151 [ref. 34477], Bohlen et al. 2019:298 [ref. 36890], Yang et al. 2020:71 [ref. 37266]). Current status: Valid as Bibarba bibarba Chen & Chen 2007. Cobitidae. Distribution: East Asia: Chengjiang River drainage, Pearl River basin, Guangxi (China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater. microculum, Bibarba 2013:155 [Science Press, Beijing; ref. 32910] •Name mentioned in passage, status uncertain. In the synonymy of Bibarba parvoculus Wu, Yang & Xiu 2015? Nomen Nudum. Current status: Unknown. Current status: Valid as Bibarba parvoculus Wu, Yang & Xiu 2015. Cobitidae. Distribution: Caves of the upper Pearl River basin, Luocheng County, Guangxi, China. Habitat: freshwater. wenliuensis, Bibarba Yang [H.-F.], Chen [Z.-M.] & Li [W.-X.] 2020:68, Figs. 1-3, 5A [Journal of Jishou University (Natural Science Edition) v. 41 (no. 1); ref. 37266] Huajiao Da Dong, a karst cave connected to subterranean waters in Huajiao Village, Wenliu Township, Qiubei County, Yunnan Province, China, 24°19"42.9"N, 104°25'17.6"E, elevation 1,257 meters. Holotype (unique): HRA 2015102401. •Valid as Bibarba wenliuensis Yang, Chen & Li 2020. Current status: Valid as Bibarba wenliuensis Yang, Chen & Li 2020. Cobitidae.
