Current status: Synonym of Ebosia bleekeri (Döderlein 1884). Scorpaenidae: Pteroinae. Habitat: marine.

Holotype: USNM 307910. Paratypes: HUMZ, KAUM-I, LACM, USNM. •Valid as Ebosia saya Matsunuma & Motomura 2014 -- (Matsunuma & Motomura 2015:[9] [ref. 33899], Poss & Motomura 2022:512 [ref. 39725]). Current status: Valid as Ebosia saya Matsunuma & Motomura 2014. Scorpaenidae: Pteroinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Saya de Malha Bank. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Ebosia vespertina Matsunuma & Motomura 2015. Scorpaenidae: Pteroinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and Mozambique to southern Madagascar.
