Current status: Synonym of Heterophallus rachovii Regan 1914. Poeciliidae: Poeciliinae.

Also appeared as new in Radda 1988:14 [ref. 34621]. •Species inquirenda in Gambusia -- (Lucinda in Reis et al. 2003:561 [ref. 27061]). •Valid as Heterophallus milleri Radda 1987 -- (Radda 1988:14 [ref. 34621], Nelson et al. 2004:104 [ref. 27807], Miller et al. 2006:230 [ref. 28615], Scharpf 2007:17 [ref. 30398], Riesch et al. 2011:95 [ref. 31292], Page et al. 2013:109 [ref. 32708], Meyer 2015:130 [ref. 34698], Álvarez-Pleigo et al. 2016:178 [ref. 34825], Huber 2019:79 [ref. 36941], Page et al. 2023:146 [ref. 40505], Fricke et al. 2024:453 [ref. 41622]). Lectotype: BMNH 1914.3.23.16. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1914.3.23.17-21 (5). Original spelling rachovii probably should be used, not the emended spelling rachowi.
