Type catalog: Monkolprasit 1969:7 [ref. 25088], Böhlke 1984:70 [ref. 13621]. •Questionably a synonym of Lobocheilus pierei Sauvage 1880 -- (Kottelat 1984:802 [ref. 11440]). •Valid as Bangana behri (Fowler 1937) -- (Rainboth 1996:106 [ref. 22772], Kottelat 2001:38 [ref. 25780], Luo & Zhou 2009:66 [ref. 30000], Kottelat & Steiner 2011:317 [ref. 31189]). •Valid as Incisilabeo behri (Fowler 1937) -- (Kottelat 2013:113 [ref. 32989], Kottelat 2017:493 [ref. 35262], Fu et al. 2021:9570 [ref. 39347], Taki et al. 2021:182 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Incisilabeo behri (Fowler 1937). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong River basin, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Yunnan (China). IUCN (2011): Vulnerable. Habitat: freshwater.
