Holotype: FAKU 1805. Paratypes: FAKU 1803-04 (2) [1804 apparently lost]. •Valid as Davidijordania abei Matsubara 1936 -- (Toyoshima in Masuda et al. 1984:305 [ref. 6441], Anderson 1994:116 [ref. 21438], Nakabo 2000:1036 [ref. 25182], Shinohara et al. 2001:328 [ref. 25995], Nakabo 2002:1036 [ref. 26193]). •Valid as Japonolycodes abei (Matsubara 1936) -- (Shinohara et al. 2002:298 [ref. 25992], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:14 [ref. 27603], Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449]). Current status: Valid as Japonolycodes abei (Matsubara 1936). Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Western North Pacific: Japan. Habitat: marine. magellanicus, Letholycus Anderson [M. E.] 1988:275, Fig. 1C [Proceedings of the California Academy of Sciences (Series 4) v. 45 (no. 11); ref. 6334] Argentine slope, 45°59.3'S, 59°57.1'W, depth 580 meters. Holotype: ISH 164-1978. Paratypes: ISH 173-1978 (1). •Valid as Letholycus magellanicus Anderson 1988 -- (Anderson 1994:117 [ref. 21438], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:14 [ref. 27603]). •Valid as Japonolycodes magellanicus (Anderson 1988) -- (Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449], Koerber & Fricke 2024:41 [ref. 41785]). Current status: Valid as Japonolycodes magellanicus (Anderson 1988). Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic: international waters off Argentina. Habitat: marine. |
