Holotype (unique): BPBM 36539. •Valid as Briggsia hastingsi Craig & Randall 2009 -- (Briggs 2022:438 [ref. 39965]). •Valid as Lissonanchus hastingsi (Craig & Randall 2009) -- (Fujiwara et al. 2023:[7] [ref. 40664]). Current status: Valid as Lissonanchus hastingsi (Craig & Randall 2009). Gobiesocidae: Diademichthyinae. Distribution: Northwestern Indian Ocean: southern Oman. Habitat: marine.

lusheri, Lissonanchus Smith [J. L. B.] 1966:642, Fig. 1; Pl. 19 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 13) v. 8 (no. 95) (for 1965); ref. 4138] Reef at Ponte Zavora, southern Mozambique, western Indian Ocean. Holotype (unique): SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 342. Named after Mrs. D. N. Lusher, the correct species epithet would be lusherae. •Valid as Lissonanchus lusheri Smith 1966 -- (Briggs 1986:380 [ref. 5643], Briggs 2022:444 [ref. 39965], Fujiwara et al. 2023:[7] [ref. 40664]). Current status: Valid as Lissonanchus lusheri Smith 1966. Gobiesocidae: Diademichthyinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: East Africa (Mozambique). Habitat: marine.
