Paratypes: AMNH 230464 (1), 258461 (1). •Valid as Didogobius helenae Van Tassell & Kramer 2014 -- (Miller & Murdy in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2840 [ref. 34618], Schliewen et al. 2018:391 [ref. 35982], Parenti 2021:131 [ref. 38603]). •Valid as Marcelogobius helenae (Van Tassell & Kramer 2014) -- (Schliewen et al. 2023:131 [ref. 40598]). Current status: Valid as Marcelogobius helenae (Van Tassell & Kramer 2014). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Canary Islands endemic. Habitat: marine.

Name incorrectly spelled janetorum five times in original description; corrected in erratum, Zootaxa, 4471 (no. 3), 2018:600. •Valid as Didogobius janetarum Schliewen, Wirtz & Kovačić 2018 -- (Parenti 2021:131 [ref. 38603]). •Valid as Marcelogobius janetarum (Schliewen, Wirtz & Kovačić 2018)-- (Schliewen et al. 2023:131 [ref. 40598]). Current status: Valid as Marcelogobius janetarum (Schliewen, Wirtz & Kovačić 2018). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Cape Verde Islands endemic. Habitat: marine.
