Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: lower rio Tapajós drainage, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.

Paratypes: AMNH, ANSP, AUM, INPA, MCP. •Valid as Nannoxyropsis ephippia (Aquino & Sabaj Pérez 2016) -- (Delapieve et al. 2018:30 [ref. 35713], Taphorn et al. 2022:52 [ref. 41297]). Current status: Valid as Nannoxyropsis ephippia (Aquino & Sabaj Pérez 2016). Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: Essequibo and Branco river basins (Guyana) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
