Current status: Valid as Platysmacheilus exiguus (Lin 1932). Gobionidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: southern China. Habitat: freshwater.

Authorship: Lo = Luo [Y.-L.] and Yao = Yue [P.-Q.]. •Valid as Microphysogobio longibarbatus (Lo, Yao & Chen 1977) -- (Bănărescu 1992:325 [ref. 40251]). •Valid as Platysmacheilus longibarbatus Lo, Yao & Chen 1977 -- (Zhu 1995:81 [ref. 25213], Yue in Chen et al. 1998:341 [ref. 23878], Yue & Chen 1998:145 [ref. 26415], Ni et al. 2005:124 [ref. 28395], Zhang et al. 2016:76 [ref. 34477] with date as 1982, Sun et al. 2025:2030 [ref. 42472]). Current status: Valid as Platysmacheilus longibarbatus Lo, Yao & Chen 1977. Gobionidae. Distribution: East Asia: Hubei Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
