Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[10] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Porotergus duende de Santana & Crampton 2010 -- (Ferraris et al. 2017:[10] [ref. 35236], Bernt et al. 2018:474 [ref. 35797], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:21 [ref. 39298], Chuctaya et al. 2022:32 [ref. 42137], Torgersen et al. 2023:775 [ref. 40692], Mendonça et al. 2025:11 [ref. 42248], de Santana et al. 2025:15 [ref. 42602]). Current status: Valid as Porotergus duende de Santana & Crampton 2010. Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: South America: Negro, Solimões and Ucayali River drainages, western Amazon River basin, Colombia, Peru and Brazil. IUCN (2022): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater.

Distribution: South America: rapids in the middle portions of the Coppename and Suriname Rivers, Suriname, rapids of the Mana and Maroni Rivers, French Guiana. Habitat: freshwater.
