Current status: Valid as Promyllantor adenensis (Klausewitz 1991). Congridae: Congrinae. Distribution: Red Sea, northwestern Indian Ocean; southwestern Pacific: Off Lord Howe Seamount chain [wider distribution expected]. Habitat: marine.
