Current status: Valid as Rhytiodus argenteofuscus Kner 1858. Anostomidae: Leporininae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia and Peru). Current status: Valid as Rhytiodus elongatus (Steindachner 1908). Anostomidae: Leporininae. Distribution: Purus River basin, Brazil, Bolivia and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
