typus, Sinibrama wui Yih [P.-L.] & Wu [C.-K.] in Wu 1964:109 [The cyprinid fishes of China v. 1; ref. 13499] Replacement name for Chanodichthys wui Rendal 1932 according to Kottelat (2013:163). Appeared as Sinibrama wui typus (Rendahl); perhaps not intended as new but as the typical subspecies (correctly wui wui (Rendahl) to contrast with wui polylepis). •Uncertain as Sinibrama typus Yih & Wu 1964 -- (Kottelat 2013:163 [ref. 32989]). •Synonym of Sinibrama macrops (Günther 1868) -- (Guo 2021:133 [ref. 38617]). Primary homonym of Chanodichthys wui Lin 1932. See also Sinibrama wui typus Yih & Wu 1964: [ref. 13499]. Described from 3 undesignated specimens; SU 35266 sent from Lingnan University, China, as holotype; that specimen designated lectotype by Eschmeyer 1998:1798 [ref. 23416].
