Current status: Valid as Tripodichthys angustifrons (Hollard 1854). Triacanthidae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific. Habitat: marine. blochii, Triacanthus Bleeker [P.] 1852:81 [Natuurkundig Tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch Indië v. 3 (no. 1); ref. 16832] Singapore. Holotype (unique): RMNH 7262. Bleeker specimens: BMNH 1864.11.28.202 (1), NMV A958 (1). Current status: Valid as Tripodichthys blochii (Bleeker 1852). Triacanthidae. Distribution: Western Pacific and northeastern Indian Ocean. Habitat: brackish, marine. falcanalis, Triacanthus Ogilby [J. D.] 1910:15 [Proceedings of the Royal Society of Queensland v. 23; ref. 3288] Brisbane River and Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia.
