Current status: Valid as Xiurenbagrus gigas Zhao, Lan & Zhang 2004. Amblycipitidae. Distribution: East Asia: upper Pearl River basin, southern China. Habitat: freshwater.

Current status: Valid as Xiurenbagrus songamensis (Nguyen & Vo 2006). Amblycipitidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mo Tôm, Nà Hang, Tuyen Quang (Vietnam). Habitat: freshwater.
