Holotype (unique): MRAC 12689 or 39492. •Valid as Pollimyrus stappersii (Boulenger 1915) -- (Gosse 1984:120 [ref. 6169], Kramer et al. 2013:17 [ref. 33002] as stappersi). Current status: Valid as Pollimyrus stappersii (Boulenger 1915). Mormyridae. Distribution: Central Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
