Correct species is Coelorinchus caelorinchus (Risso 1810). •Synonym of Coelorhynchus coelorhynchus (Risso 1810), but a valid subspecies geronimo Marshall & Iwamoto 1973 as described -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:154 [ref. 18936]). •Valid as Coelorhynchus geronimo Marshall & Iwamoto 1973 -- (Geistdoerfer 1990:549 [ref. 16195]). •Valid as Coelorinchus geronimo Marshall & Iwamoto 1973 -- (Iwamoto 2016:1989 [ref. 34585], Brown et al. 2019:160 [ref. 36444], Fermon et al. 2022:199 [ref. 39448]).
