(1). •Synonym of Thymallus arcticus (Pallas 1776), but a valid subspecies -- (Berg 1948:430 [ref. 12882] as grubei, Zhu 1995:12 [ref. 25213] as grubei, Bogutskaya & Naseka 1996:14 [ref. 22798], Reshetnikov et al. 1997:732 [ref. 24702] as grubei, Dorofeeva 1998:48 [ref. 23573] as grubei Yue & Chen 1998:44 [ref. 26415] as grubei, Zhang et al. 2016:190 [ref. 34477] as grubei). •Valid as Thymallus grubii subspecies grubii Dybowski 1869 -- (Knizhin et al. 2006:581 [ref. 29044], Knizhin et al. 2007:136 [ref. 29043]). •Valid as Thymallus grubii Dybowski 1869 -- (Bogutskaya et al. 2001:46 [ref. 26178], Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:148 [ref. 28183], Kottelat 2006:25 [ref. 28831], Ocock et al. 2006:52 [ref. 28933], Bogutskaya et al. 2008:344 [ref. 30085], Dyldin et al. 2017:113 [ref. 35967]). Current status: Valid as Thymallus grubii Dybowski 1869. Salmonidae: Thymallinae. Distribution: Amur River basin: Mongolia, Russia and China. Habitat: freshwater.
