kisatch, Salmo Walbaum [J. J.] 1792:70 [Petri Artedi sueci genera piscium Part 3; ref. 4572] Rivers and Lakes of Kamchatka, Russia. No types known. Originally hisutch; changed in emendanda (p. 720) from hisatch to kisatch. The name kisutch is generally used (probably incorrectly, but should be retained following the 4th edition (1999) of the Code of Zoological Nomenclature). Based on "Kysutch, or Bjelaya ryba, or White fish of the Russians" of Pennant 1784:cxxv [ref. 18530]. We suggest maintaining current usage as kisutch. •Valid as Salmo kisutch Walbaum 1792 -- (Kawanabe & Mizuno 1989:202 [ref. 25598]). •Valid as Oncorhynchus kisutch (Walbaum 1792) -- (Berg 1948:196 [ref. 12882], Okada 1961:314 [ref. 6363], Lee et al. 1980:94 [ref. 22416], Eschmeyer & Herald 1983:77 [ref. 9277], Svetovidov in Whitehead et al. 1984:380 [ref. 13675], Ida in Masuda et al. 1984:40 [ref. 6441], Smith 1986:222 [ref. 22186], Scott & Scott 1988:124 [ref. 25518], Pequeño 1989:28 [ref. 14125], McAllister 1990:84 [ref. 14674], Tomelleri & Eberle 1990:48 [ref. 24089], Page & Burr 1991:53 [ref. 18983], Stearley & Smith 1993:22 [ref. 26683], Coad 1995:25 [ref. 23608], Chereshnev 1996:604 [ref. 24659], Coad 1996:85 [ref. 25304], Kim 1997:515 [ref. 24032], Nikiforov et al. 1997:330 [ref. 24694] as kusutch, Reshetnikov et al. 1997:729 [ref. 24702], Thurow et al. 1997:1094 [ref. 25523], Dorofeeva & Savvaitova 1998:32 [ref. 23574], Scott & Crossman 1998:158 [ref. 24570], Sokolovskaya et al. 1998:8 [ref. 24670], Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:159 [ref. 24550], Fuller et al. 1999:248 [ref. 25838], Dyer 2000:89 [ref. 26678], Lyons et al. 2000:48 [ref. 26594], Nakabo 2000:303 [ref. 25086], Bogutskaya et al. 2001:45 [ref. 26178], Chereshnev et al. 2001:83 [ref. 26736], Pietsch et al. 2001:142 [ref. 25688], Zemnukhov et al. 2001:420 [ref. 25412], Kim & Park 2002:285 [ref. 25913], Kocik & Friedland in Collette & Klein-MacPhee 2002:172 [ref. 26158], Nakabo 2002:303 [ref. 26001], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:206 [ref. 25968], Youn 2002:194, 530 [ref. 26218], Moyle 2002:245 [ref. 26449], Fedorov et al. 2003:38 [ref. 27579], Wydoski & Whitney 2003:70 [ref. 27816], Alekseyev et al. 2004:53 [ref. 27625], Nelson et al. 2004:86 [ref. 27807], Bailey et al. 2004:150 [ref. 27882], Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:152 [ref. 28183], Duhamel et al. 2005:102 [ref. 32059], Scharpf 2006:27 [ref. 30386], McPhail 2007:268 [ref. 31199], Bogutskaya et al. 2008:347 [ref. 30085], Minckley & Marsh 2009:94 [ref. 31114], Page & Burr 2011:402 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:87 [ref. 32708], Parin et al. 2014:132 [ref. 33547], Pietsch & Orr 2015:22 [ref. 34694], Barbieri et al. 2015:81 [ref. 35029], Afonso et al. 2016:22, 238 [ref. 36199], Dyldin & Orlov 2016:678 [ref. 34853], Kells et al. 2016:100 [ref. 35888], Nión et al. 2016:35 [ref. 35565] as cf. kisutch, Ćaleta et al. 2019:176 [ref. 37026], Lorenzoni et al. 2019:253 [ref. 37108] as kisatch).
