Freyhof & Kottelat 2005:255 [ref. 28187] selected a lectotype the specimen figured by Schillinger (specimen not extant). •Valid as Salvelinus profundus (Schillinger 1901) -- (Kottelat 1997:154 [ref. 22952], Freyhof & Kottelat 2005:255 [ref. 28187], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:454 [ref. 29996], Doenz & Seehausen 2020:[2] [ref. 37524]).
