Berg ascribes the species to Mikhin 1949, Trudy Arkticheskogo Instituta, type locality L. Current status: Valid as Salvelinus taimyricus Mikhin 1949. Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: North Asia: Taimyr Peninsula, including Taimyr, Lama, Khantaika Sobach'ye and Keta lakes (Russia). Habitat: freshwater.
