Holotype: YPM 2032. Type catalog: Moore & Boardman 1991:18 [ref. 16741] as micropterygias. •Status uncertain -- (Gomon & Gibbs 1985:50 [ref. 5268]). •Valid as Eustomias micropterygius Parr 1927 -- (Harold 2003:911 [ref. 27001]). Current status: Valid as Eustomias micropterygius Parr 1927. Stomiidae: Melanostomiinae. Distribution: Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
