Type catalog: Henn 1928:85 [ref. 12305], Böhlke 1953:19 [ref. 12291], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:32 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Diaphus chrysorhynchus Gilbert & Cramer 1897 -- (Paxton 1979:8 [ref. 6440], Chen 2002:207 [ref. 26587]). •Valid as Diaphus sagamiensis Gilbert 1913 -- (Fujii in Masuda et al. 1984:73 [ref. 6441], Paxton & Hulley in Randall & Lim 2000:593 [ref. 25122], Wang & Chen 2001:109 [ref. 25464]). Current status: Valid as Diaphus sagamiensis Gilbert 1913. Myctophidae: Diaphinae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
