Incorrectly spelled Corica guborni by Gray 1834:Pl. 91 (figs. 7-8) with correction in index to Corica soborni (also a misspelling). Locality of Bihar (not Orissa) provided by H. Current status: Valid as Corica soborna Hamilton 1822. Clupeidae. Distribution: India, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
