Paratypes: USNM 92313 (1, with holotype). •Valid as Lampanyctus turneri (Fowler 1934) -- (Paxton 1979:14 [ref. 6440], Fujii in Masuda et al. 1984:70 [ref. 6441], Hulley 1986:309 [ref. 5672], Fricke 1999:97 [ref. 24106], Paxton & Hulley 1999:1963 [ref. 24748], Nakabo 2000:391 [ref. 25086], Paxton & Hulley in Randall & Lim 2000:594 [ref. 25122], Wang & Chen 2001:115 [ref. 25464], Nakabo 2002:391 [ref. 26001], Shinohara et al. 2005:412 [ref. 28370], Fricke et al. 2014:30 [ref. 33932], Sutton et al. 2020:199 [ref. 37832]). Current status: Valid as Lampanyctus turneri (Fowler 1934). Myctophidae: Lampanyctinae. Distribution: Southeastern Atlantic, western Indian Ocean and western Pacific: tropical and subtropical waters. Habitat: marine.
