Current status: Valid as Triphoturus oculeum (Garman 1899). Myctophidae: Lampanyctinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern Ecuador south to Chile, including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). IUCN (2019): Least Concern. Habitat: marine.
