G (fig. 1), 50, 83 (fig. 2) [Memoirs of the Museum of Comparative Zoology v. 24; ref. 1540] Off (Pacific) Panama, 5°56'N, 85°10'30"W, Albatross station 3362, depth 1175 fathoms. Lectotype: MCZ 28558. Paralectotypes: MCZ 28559-69 (3, 4, 5, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1), 63000 [ex MCZ 28588] (1), 163925-26 [ex MCZ 28588] (1, 1); USNM 57858 (2). Original genus should have been Macrourus. Lectotype selected by Iwamoto & Sazonov 1988:45 [ref. 6228]. •Valid as Coryphaenoides anguliceps (Garman 1899) -- (Iwamoto & Sazonov 1988:45 [ref. 6228], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:203 [ref. 18936], Iwamoto & Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995:1258 [ref. 22830], McMillan 1999:488 [ref. 23975], Iwamoto & McCosker 2001:27 [ref. 25777], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:189 [ref. 30957], Robertson et al. 2017:53 [ref. 35676]). Current status: Valid as Coryphaenoides anguliceps (Garman 1899). Macrouridae: Macrourinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California to Peru, including Cocos and Galapagos islands. Habitat: marine.
