Fowler assigns specimens from Albatross Station 3920 to the new species Hymenocephalus tenuis. •Valid as Hymenocephalus striatulus Gilbert 1905 -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:230 [ref. 18936], Pequeño 1997:82 [ref. 23536], Iwamoto & Williams 1999:178 [ref. 23875], Mundy 2005:252 [ref. 28379], Schwarzhans 2014:45 [ref. 33586]). Current status: Valid as Hymenocephalus striatulus Gilbert 1905. Macrouridae. Distribution: Pacific: Hawaiian Islands, Sala-y-Gomez Ridge (southeastern Pacific). Habitat: marine.
