Syntypes: MCZ, USNM 57855 (2). Original genus should have been Macrourus. •Valid as Nezumia latirostrata (Garman 1899) -- (Iwamoto 1979:168 [ref. 2311], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:272 [ref. 18936], Iwamoto & Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995:1259 [ref. 22830], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:238 [ref. 24555], Castellanos-Galindo et al. 2006:196 [ref. 28944], Robertson et al. 2017:55 [ref. 35676]). Current status: Valid as Nezumia latirostrata (Garman 1899). Macrouridae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Panama to northern Peru. Habitat: marine.
