Current status: Valid as Glyptophidium japonicum Kamohara 1936. Ophidiidae: Neobythitinae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Philippines and Papua New Guinea north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia. Habitat: marine.
