Current status: Valid as Neobythites longipes Smith & Radcliffe 1913. Ophidiidae: Neobythitinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to Philippines, north to Taiwan, south to northern Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
