Types apparently lost -- see Møller et al. 2005:135, 152 [ref. 28405]. •Valid as Ogilbia galapagosensis (Poll & Leleup 1965) -- (Cohen & Nielsen 1978:60 [ref. 881], Allen & Robertson 1994:77 [ref. 22193], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:223 [ref. 24023], Nielsen & Cohen in Nielsen et al. 1999:135 [ref. 24448], Romero & Paulson 2001:32 [ref. 26040], Nielsen in Reis et al. 2003:507 [ref. 27061], Møller et al. 2005:152 [ref. 28405], Proudlove 2006:179 [ref. 28992], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:190 [ref. 30957], Barriga Salazar 2014:116 [ref. 35745], Møller et al. 2016:Appendix B [ref. 34432] in Dinematichthyidae). Current status: Valid as Ogilbia galapagosensis (Poll & Leleup 1965). Dinematichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galápagos Islands and ?Ecuador. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
