Current status: Valid as Abantennarius duescus (Snyder 1904). Antennariidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western and central Pacific: Komodo and Flores (southern Indonesia), Papua New Guinea, Loyalty Islands (New Caledonia), Fiji, Hawaiian Islands and Johnston Atoll (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
