Current status: Valid as Oneirodes acanthias (Gilbert 1915). Oneirodidae. Distribution: Northeastern Pacific: Oregon (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico), and perhaps to Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
